Location & Activities 

Bay View Cottage is in Trewarmett, a tiny hamlet situated between Port Isaac and Tintagel, with commanding views over the North Cornwall coast. It has an enviable position close to well renowned local beaches, resturants and pubs.

 

There are many activities available just a short distance from  Bay View Cottage, whether it is surfing the famous Atlantic Coast waves, relaxing on one of the dozens of world class beaches or dining in the highly recommended nearby Old Mill House or enjoying a drink overlooking Trebarwith Strand from the Port William pub.

 

The North Cornish coast is renowned for its surfing and many local beaches operate surf schools. Paddle-boarding classes are also offered and for the adventurous coasteering is also available.

For walkers, Bay View Cottage offers easy access to the Coastal Path and further inland the scenic Rough Tor and Crowdy Reservoir is not far away.

For family cycling the Camel Trail is easily accessed from Wadebridge or Bodmin approx half an hour distant.

Other popular activities available nearby are sea fishing, sailing and golf.

 

Trewarwith Strand, the local beach, is just 3 minutes drive away or a 20 minute walk.

Tregardock 13 minutes

Port Isaac 15 minutes 

Boscastle 15 minutes 

Crackington Haven 20 minutes

Polzeath 25 minutes

 

Local restaurants are the Old Mill House (a 15 minute walk) and the Port William (a 20 minute walk).

A little further on in Port Isaac there are a number of fine restaurants including Nathan Outlaw's latest venture amongst others. There's also some great pub grub available at the Coombe Barton at nearby Crackington Haven.

 

Some nearby Places of Interest:

The dramatic and mystical Tintagel Castle is just on the doorstep and a must for any visitor to the area.

Lanhydrock, one of the finest National Trust properties, is 35 minutes drive away.

The amazing Eden Project is 45 minutes drive as is Newquay with its zoo, aquarium and many other attractions.

The local towns are Tintagel (5 minutes drive) Camelford (8 minutes) and Delabole (8 minutes) which can service most of your convenience shopping needs. 

Wadebridge (25 minutes) and Bude (30 minutes) are larger towns with a much bigger range of shops, cafes and supermarkets.

The historic and beautiful harbour villages of Port Isaac and Boscastle are also both 15 minutes away with Padstow just a little further afield.
